Book Review: The Family Man by KT Adler

Description: My neighbor Zac Sullivan isn’t a nuisance. He’s a full-blown menace. Late night sex that serenades the entire neighborhood. Lawn mowing at 5 a.m. And a German Shepherd that poops in my yard. He needs a piece of my mind, so I head over there to give it him. But damn. The boy’s a hot snack. And I just wanna break off a piece of him.

Sage Loveridge is smoking hot. And ice cold. She hates me, and I have no idea why. Until she comes over spitting mad about my dog crapping in her yard. Of course, I apologize and promise to make it up to her. But really, I just wanna tap that. And move on, like I normally do. But something about her keeps drawing me in.

What Had Me Jonesing

  • Devil’s dick — you’ll have to read it to find out. 😍
  • A quick read, BUT with ALL the feels.
  • Sage has three sisters, as do I. And I love my sisters, but Sage’s sisters are EVERYTHING. So much fun. All named for spices/herbs … hence, the series title.

What Struck Me

  • The inventive, yet odorifous meet-cute.
  • Tattoo sleeve — hadn’t a clue what this was. love when I learn something new.
  • Another hot-sex-with-not-a-single-touch. I have to try this. In my books and maybe in real …

Tropes

  • Enemies to Lovers
  • Single Dad

Bottom Line

KT Adler writes funny, engaging, fast-paced romcoms. And The Family Man is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and am now digging in to the story of Sage’s sister, Anise. They are fast, fun rides.

Caveat: If you are very sensitive to grammatical and editing errors, this might not be for you. I am tolerant, because the story is my guiding principle.
